Thomas Matthew Davis, known as Matt to his clients, colleagues, and friends, is a financial advisor with Maus and Associates. He works closely with business owners and individuals who are focused on building, protecting, and confidently navigating their financial future.
Matt believes financial planning is not a one-time event, but an ongoing process that evolves alongside life’s changes. He helps clients create clear financial roadmaps while building long-term relationships that provide guidance and reassurance through both opportunities and challenges.
“Life is a journey we’re constantly planning,” Matt says. “My role is to help clients gain clarity and confidence in their financial decisions so they feel supported every step of the way. There’s nothing more rewarding than seeing clients feel organized, confident, and at ease about their future.”
Born in Dallas, Texas, Matt grew up in Atlanta, Georgia and Waco, Texas. He attended Baylor University, where he worked his way through school at Investors Brokerage of Texas. It was there that he discovered his passion for working directly with clients and helping them make informed financial decisions.
After a brief detour that led to meeting his wife, Julie, Matt returned to the financial services industry in 2012 and has remained dedicated to the profession ever since.
Family plays a central role in Matt’s life. He and Julie celebrate 20 years of marriage this year and enjoy spending time with family, including their ten nieces and nephews. Outside of work, Matt can often be found cooking on his Big Green Egg, hosting relaxed gatherings, or spending time at home with their cats, Chloe and Nala. These moments reinforce the values that guide his work—connection, balance, and intentional living.
Matt’s practice is built on thoughtful planning, meaningful relationships, and helping clients make decisions aligned with what matters most to them. His goal for every client is simple: to feel organized, confident, and free to focus on living a full life.
“If I can help a client gain confidence in their financial future,” Matt says, “I hope it frees up their time and energy to pursue the things they truly value.”
Matt has been a member of MDRT, the Dallas Estate Planning Council, and Toastmasters, and is currently active in ProVisors and NAIFA, where he collaborates with other professionals to better serve his clients.
